Welcome. My name is Keely Ernst. Thank you so much for visiting.
I am the wife of a trauma nurse and hilariously sarcastic man, the mother of three crazy dragon kids (they literally pretend to be dragons all day long). And a writer. I write all sorts of things, fiction, fan fiction, short stories, creative non fiction, poetry, and of course, this blog. My hair is always a different color.
Seeking The Beauty started as a simple way to share my musings, and work out my thoughts through my fingertips while in the trenches of young motherhood. However recently it has grown into a place where I can share and speak encouragement to others in the hard things in life.
I believe that life is messy, but I also believe in a God who makes beautiful things from those messes. He gives is beauty for ashes, and joy from sadness. And we will be able to stand strong, like trees of righteousness.
My favorite things to write about are the things that are hardest to talk about. It’s easy to side step these hard conversation, but in every hard spot, I know God has something to say, and something to teach and is often leading us to something beautiful, if we can hang on. I firmly believe we are all here to help each other to do just that, hang on.
That’s why this blog is called Seeking The Beauty. In all things, I want to seek the beauty God has created, out of the ashes of the lives we all thought we would have.
And I want to seek Him above all.
But I’m not all seriousness and sads! I promise! I think in the tough seasons of life, there is a lot of humor to be found too, if we take a step back. If we breathe. I am learning to laugh more, to let go more, and smile more, and I’m documenting that here. Sometimes all we can do is laugh at the curve balls life throws us, the plot twists, (or the piles of laundry on the floor, the dishes in the sink, and the ironic toddler tantrum at our feet).
There is magic and awesome and adventure everywhere, if we just have the eyes to look for it. So be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook, for more levity and laughs, that’s often where I post the lighter things, the silly things, the everyday life moments.
And if you have an idea for a blog topic, or want to know my thoughts on something, or have a question, please feel free to contact me below with suggestions for future posts! I would love to hear from you.
Thanks you so much for taking this journey with me, for being my dear reader. I look so forward to getting to know you as we seek the beauty together, in this grand adventure called life.
